Either way, these safe havens become more than just pit stops... they’re a reminder that even the greatest adventurers deserve a little comfort along the way. If Oswald hadn’t accidentally let a bunny-shaped monster into his home, this bedroom might have scored higher.Once you pay for a room in any of the inns, you have access to it for the rest of the game. The room itself is simple but cozy: a soft bed, a bay view window, and a few books to pass the time.Considering the game’s real estate market is more brutal than most raid bosses, that’s a blessing in itself. The décor varies depending on the city, but each room sticks to the essentials: a cozy bed, your journal, a glamour chest for all your fashion emergencies, a toy chest for downtime, and a bell to summon your overworked retainer. As you unlock outfits in the game, you can change your clothes in Lara's closet. Her manor isn’t just for show. It includes a full library, a private obstacle course, and a pool to keep both her mind and body in peak condition. And when it’s finally time to rest, Lara’s bedroom doesn’t disappoint: a plush bed, books and relics on display, and a walk-in closet make it clear that even the Queen of Adventure deserves a little luxury…

For a couple of months I’ve been dipping in and out of #SelfCare, a game about deciding to not get out of bed. It’s nominally designed for people who
It’s nominally designed for people who don’t really like video games, but as someone who has played them all my life, I’ve found it a fascinating experiment in game design. #SelfCare is about doing almost nothing, an escapist fantasy with extreme power for me as a working parent. In a beautiful but credible bedroom, with all the detritus of everyday life around you (rumpled sheets, a phone and laptop cast aside), you stay under the covers and play calming mini-games about sorting your laundry, stroking your cat, or playing with crystals or tarot cards. The games aren’t difficult, and usually revolve around creating pleasant patterns or colors. Every activity is designed to be uncomplicatedly satisfying. Some objects, like the ‘personal massager’ on the bedside table, are tongue-in-cheek. This isn’t one of those happiness apps that chirpily reminds you to drink a glass of water every hour. You’re staying in bed all day, not doing yoga on a hillside at 5am. #SelfCare doesn’t judge you for fantasizing about doing nothing much. This is the first game from TruLuv Studios, a studio whose mission is to make games with and for people who don’t already play them.Code worked for years as a technical lead on Assassin’s Creed and was lead programmer on Child of Light. A few years ago, she started to suspect that there was something limiting about the conventional wisdom around designing games. Everywhere she went, she still met people who struggled to understand video games.
Ok, no, not THOSE type of games. You gutter rats. I mean board and card games! Wife will be going on bed rest soon with the pregnancy, so it's hard to find games that work well for her to play while she's laying down in bed. Anything with
Under The Bed Games is a home where tales and horror stories come to life to offer the user a new way to experience them.

Because I'm thinking that we had massive and detailed open worlds, destruction tech, multiplayer games with 100+ players, games with advanced AI simulation, "infinite" procedurally generated worlds, etc. even on the 8th generation consoles, and in some cases the 7th as well. And, in terms of optimization, a lot of games are being "downported" to Switch 2 - or even Switch 1. We often think of Cyberpunk 2077 as an example of a game that was nigh unplayable on last-gen hardware, but that was more down to the way the game was made. Sure, the architecture of the city is quite dense, but I don't feel like it would have been impossible to make it with proper planning and optimization in mind. There have been some graphical showcases like Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, Hellblade 2 (a lot of 2s), Doom: The Dark Ages, even Callisto Protocol recently but, again, I never felt like either game did things that were straight up not possible on older hardware with some visual compromises. The latest Ratchet & Clank had a cool portal tech that, again, would have been feasible on older hardware as well. Will GTA VI be the game that has such a world complexity that it really can't run on the now very outdated Xbox One and PS4? What do you think?
As a sexologist and world-renowned sex and relationship expert, I've helped many couples spice up their love lives by recommending the best board games, dice, and card games to bring the unexpected back into the bedroom.
The best couples communication game. ... Sex is all about exciting all the senses. That means experiencing delight through touch, taste, smell, visuals, and - of course - sound. Yet freely communicating and making sounds during sex can be the hardest skill to develop with a partner. Even if you've had years of keeping hush in the bedroom, the Talk Dirty Playing Cards can help you become vocal - whether that's helping you talk about your sexual likes and dislikes, or giving yourself permission to let go and groan. The tabletop gameplay may be a bit basic, but this kit is a great investment for those looking to explore their power dynamics in the bedroom while learning different ways to mix up sensual and consensual sadomasochism. The most original sex board game. ... Bedroom Battle could be the most board-game-like board game on this list. It doesn't rip off a classic - this isn't Monopoly Sex Edition - so it has its own rules, board, and pieces.Unlike some of the other games on this list, Bedroom Battle boasts about its inclusivity as well as its sex positivity. "It doesn't matter if you're straight, gay, or lesbian", says the game's box, "everyone can play".

One of the most popular sleepytime rituals is to read bedtime stories. However, not every kid loves listening to stories, and sometimes your kiddo might even want a change of pace from the mundane bedtime routine. So, what other options are left for you as a parent? Bedtime games might be what you are looking for!Pick a letter and ask your kid to say as many words as possible starting with that letter. Don’t forget to set a time limit to keep it interesting. Your child can then pick a letter for you or their sibling to repeat the same process. This bedtime game will be fun for toddlers as it can help them revise or learn new words.Make sounds of different animals and birds and let your child guess the name of the same within a minute. To make the game more fun, you and your kiddo can take turns where you have to guess the animal or bird’s name. This bedtime game will make your child more attentive to the animal/bird sound the next time they are outdoors. You say one word, and your child then says a word associated with it. For instance, dark-light, sun-sea, fruit-apple, etc. You can take turns while playing this bedtime game. If not this, you can play a game with antonyms, or recite A-Z backward (it can be quite tough depending on your kid’s age).

If you're in the mood for a fun and functional puzzle game, maybe consider this one. ... Back to Bed is an acceptable puzzle game with outstanding presentation. The gameplay simply leans too heavily on illusions to offer a top tier puzzle experience, but it's worth investigating simply for the dreamy combination of M.C.Escher, Salvidore Dahli and Monty Python. It puts my Rocky Horror styled nightmares to shame with ease, and is an artistic vision that will stick with you for a long while after you've cleared its short campaign. ... As it stands, Back to Bed occupies an odd middle-ground, in that it manages to be both endearingly quirky yet fundamentally dull.It is a tiny game with a unique, yet brief and understated impact. ... The cartoony, minimalist graphics and eye-catching presentation will hold your attention, but like a fanciful daydream, the breezy experience will abruptly end, leaving you sighing in disappointment as you snap back to reality and stow away its pleasant aspects at the back of your mind for a good, long while. ... Ultimately, Back To Bed is just sorely missing content even at the already low purchase price. It's a great idea with some fantastic art and a few really cool puzzles… but that's it. If you enjoy puzzle games and like the aesthetic, then Back To Bed is still priced very well and worth your money. Not a lot of studios can really portray that surreal feeling, but Bedtime Digital absolutely has and their game stands out because of it.
I love to play games once the kids go to bed, but often times I only have enough energy to collapse into bed myself. What games would be great to play in bed? I also have a decent-sized lap desk, so that can provide some stable horizontal space.
Yes I know the title is going to get some funny replies, but whenever I suggest a board game to the wife, she always asked if we can play it in bed. So, any games that CAN be played in bed. Serious answers only please ;-)

I admit it. I enjoy sleeping almost as much as I enjoy gaming. Combine the two, gaming in bed, and I've either reached Nirvana or a new level of laziness. So what do you think? Surely there are other in-bed gamers and games. Pull up the blankets, fluff

RPG Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition is an excellent, subtle remaster and my new Steam Deck game of the summer ... Actually they may hate it, but the customer isn't always right. When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission. Here’s how it works. ... There was an era when my bedtime rituals were dominated by screentime—usually doomscrolling online or fighting for my life with my Steam Deck just inches from my face.Anyway I swear I'm not advocating for more bright screens in your face before turning in for the night, but if you're looking for the gaming equivalent of a warm bedtime story, then Tiny Bookshop is just that (but maybe minus the Robert Langdon stories). It's novel enough as a cozy management sim to hold my attention, but never so demanding that I can't find a good place to stop when my eyes get heavy. ... Andrea has been covering games for nearly a decade, picking up bylines at IGN, USA Today, Fanbyte, and Destructoid before joining the PC Gamer team in 2025.I've spent hours in Tiny Bookshop making book recommendations for customers and decorating my mobile bookstore. It's not an overly complicated system, but a nice touch that matters just enough to impact sales. If I didn't make enough money, I couldn't restock books or buy new decorations for my frequent remodeling (the most important part of any game, really). I like that it's about as laid back or overly involved as I want it to be.
